Prices and Policies

These are Krypto Siberians’ current policies and prices. Not all policies are included, please reach out if you have any questions. Buyers are required to sign a sales agreement that will have current information. This does not count as a legal document, just a reference to answer any questions you may have.

Timeframe

Cats are pregnant for about 64 days. I wean the kittens at 8-10 weeks depending on the mother’s tolerance for them, their size, and health.

I have the kittens examined by a veterinarian before deciding to wean kittens. Unless otherwise needed, kittens have their first vaccines and deworming started at 8 weeks.

Kittens go to their new homes at 12 weeks old depending on scheduling with the buyer, size, and health of the kitten. If I need to keep a kitten longer than the set pick up date of the majority of the kittens I charge $20/day for boarding. This usually happens if the family is away on vacation or holiday. Boarding is not always an option depending on my schedule so make sure you have other boarding or petsitting options.

Vaccinations & Spay/Neuter

Kittens must be taken to a veterinarian (preferably) 3-5 days upon receiving the kitten for a wellness exam. Vaccines should be continued by the new owner. Vaccines protect cats from feline distemper, feline herpes virus 1, and rabies. Vaccines are started at 8 weeks of age and are continued every 3-4 weeks until the kitten has all of its boosters. At which point it switches to yearly or every several years.

Males should be neutered early as recommended by your veterinarian. The protein that many are allergic to, Fel d1 can increase in a cat as they age. Neutering early prevents more Fel d1 from being produced. Neuters can safely be done when the kitten is at least 3lbs.

Females Fel d1 levels may rise before being spayed as well. Veterinarians prefer to spay females before they go into their first heat typically which can happen as early as 6 months of age.

I ask that kittens be neutered/spayed between 6-7 1/2 months old unless otherwise specified by their vet.

Health Problems Arise

If a veterinarian finds serious health problems within 5 days of receiving the kitten, I will replace or refund the entire sales amount for the kitten.

If returning, buyer must provide safe return of the cat.

Kittens are guaranteed against HCM and PKD until 2 years old. Proof of veterinarian findings must be provided for replacement or refund.

Veterinarian costs will not be reimbursed. I highly recommend pet insurance for any purebred pet. Trupanion will come free to you for the first 30 days of having the kitten. If you want to continue coverage after the first 30 days, you must activate your account with the promo code I provide you within 24 of picking up your kitten.

Other Policies

Sellers may not breed or resell kittens. Breeding rights are an extra cost and I require the buyer to be associated with TICA. If you are no longer able to keep the kitten, please return back to Krypto Siberians.

A full refund is guaranteed if the kitten is returned due to allergies before 7 days of receiving it. A refund minus the deposit amount will be refunded if the kitten is returned within 14 days. The buyer is responsible for the safe return of the cat.

By buying a Siberian from Krypto Siberians, you are buying a pet, not a guarantee of the cat being hypoallergenic.

Pricing

Kittens are $2,300 each. A $300 deposit reserves your spot on the waitlist. This deposit goes towards the total cost and half of it can be refunded if you change your mind, circumstances change, or you find a kitten elsewhere sooner. The remaining amount is due by delivery of the kitten.

I take Venmo or PayPal as payment for the deposit. If you want to get on the waitlist, please fill out the kitten application and I will respond with answers to any questions you may have and give payment information. Once payment is received I will respond with your spot-number on my waitlist.

Remaining payment of the kitten is due at pick-up in cash (typically $2,000).

If I am able to and need to keep kittens past the pick-up date, I charge $20/day for petsitting. Please have other options available as my schedule won’t always allow me to do this.

Any flights required for the delivery of a kitten are the responsibility of the buyer.

I am open to delivering kitten up to a certain distance. I am willing to meet buyer 30 minutes from my home. After 30 minutes, I charge an hourly rate for driving (time plus gas). I will only drive 3 hours one-way total (so 6 hours total). (Portland, OR the furthest distance.) Ask about the delivery fee, it changes depending on season and my availability.

Home Visits

I used to offer home visits for allergies as well as to see my cattery. Unfortunately due to several events that made me uncomfortable as well as protecting mama and kittens from outside germs, I am no longer offering home visits.

I understand that there are scams and many people say not to buy from a breeder that doesn’t allow you to visit. Due to my cattery also being my home, I have to protect myself and my privacy and protect the kittens from outside diseases.

I am happy to schedule phone or video calls to soothe any discomfort regarding this.

Allergy Testing

I have sold many kittens to homes with allergies with NO comments on allergies or returns due to allergies. Based on your answers on my kitten application, I will have a good idea if a kitten from my cattery is a good option for you.

If I think your allergies are more severe, I will refer you to a reputable breeder that may have better options.

Keep in mind that kittens that are allergy-tested are often more expensive. Many breeders require the buyer to pay for the additional time to keep the kitten to conduct the test (it has to be done at a certain age and takes weeks to complete). Often the test is also the financial responsibility of the buyer, which is costly.

Dog Friendly?

I can’t guarantee that your pets will get along. All personalities are different. I will help you through the transition and how to introduce your pets.

Resources

I am happy to be a resource to you with any kitten/cat questions even after kittens go home.
